Announcements

WLTX-TV and BI-LO are proud to introduce the Golden Apple Awards program to our school. The Golden Apple Awards will be a way for our viewers to recognize the excellent work taking place in classrooms throughout our area. Each week, an outstanding educator will be featured Tuesday afternoons on News 19's friends @ five and then again the next morning during News 19 @ 6 am.
We'd like your help to identify those great educators by encouraging students and parents to drop by their neighborhood BI-LO store to pick up a Golden Apple nomination form. Using the forms, they can share why their favorite teacher should receive this honor. There are great prizes for the weekly winners and all weekly winners will be honored at the annual Golden Apple Awards banquet in May.

The Brookdale Story

Welcome to our Brookdale website! Brookdale has been a community school for over 50 years. Nestled in the heart of the Brookdale Civic Association, we are a predominately African-American school serving 300 students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth, EMD, and PMD self-contained classes. We have an open door policy and our focus is meeting the needs of our students in a family-friendly atmosphere, where parents, faculty, and community members collaborate to achieve our goals.
